Thoughts of Spring. . .

I know that many of you are suffering with terrible winter conditions.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

However, here in Utah we are currently experiencing Spring like weather.  After two days of rain, the temps are suppose to reach almost 60 degrees by Saturday.

We have received well needed snow in the mountains, but with weather like this my thoughts can’t help but turn to Spring.

Daffodils from the local supermarket helped bring a bit of Springtime indoors.

I pulled them from their plastic pot and gently placed them in a vintage soup tureen.  A bed of moss was placed on top. She was a thrift find years ago and even has a lid.

Here’s a little sneak peak of something I just finished sewing the other day.  I’ll be using it for my Spring TIME décor after putting away Valentines.  Give me a theme and I am one happy gal!  lol!

I love the sweet yellow rose and the daisies bordering the top.

Nothing says Spring to me more than Daffodils and Tulips.  No Tulips today.

Ha, ha, you can still see some of my Valentines décor.  Yup, love is in the air!

Speaking of Valentines, tomorrow I will be showing the wonderful goodies I got for my Valentine swap exchange.

Hope you’ll come see!

Sending you happy thoughts of Spring,

Jann

Sounds like you are having a little Spring! We did get sunshine today after a week of bitter cold, cloudy days. At least we missed the snow. Love your buttercups and the dish they are in is cute as can be.

Pretty spring flowers in a pretty tureen. I'm forcing bulbs in my fourth grade classroom. The paper whites have done very well. The amaryllis is taking its good ol'time.

Such gorgeous daff's I wish we could grow them down here in Southern Miss....Now of course this is a winter that maybe we could have...LOL.
The soup tourine is the perfect host for these lovely flowers.

Love the ruffles on the daffodils and the cloth. They look fab in the tureen - love using the unexpected for containers.

Send some warmth here - just got over 12 inches of snow with 3-6 more coming tonight!

We usual have a few blooms by now, but not this year. Mother nature has not been kind to anyone this season.

I'm thinking of spring, too, even though they are calling for more snow today. Love your flowers in that tureen. Happy Valentine's Day!

Daffodils are my favorite, and this is a great variety. I can't remember what they are called, but they are so ruffle-y and frilly!

They look great in your tureen, Jann! Your clock runner reminded me of Angie at Knick of Time! :)

I've never seen so many ruffles on a daffodil! They're lovely. I'm so jealous of your spring temperatures. We're expecting yet another snowstorm tomorrow, maybe your warmer temperatures will head this way and help the snow melt? Have a wonderful weekend! :) --Fran

Jann, please send some of your spring weather over here! I've managed to get some sunshine today and the spring bulbs have been fighting mother nature's storms and made a little appearance, so there is some happiness around us! Have a wonderful weekend. xx

I am grinning ear to ear. Yesterday I left the house on a mission - bulbs to force and maybe (hopefully) a few nice old ironstone containers to place them in. I thought it would be a perfect project to keep my spirits up as we have another round of snow. I got side tracked doing A Good Deed (I need all the good karma I can get) and didn't get to the bulbs or to look for containers. So imagine my delight when I found some beautiful bulbs flowering in a lovely ironstone container here!
Everything looks lovely - so lovely I'm inspired to go do something domestic.
